Our Task Forces & Initiatives

Healthy Adams County maintains many task forces, coalitions and committees under its umbrella that address the priority health and human service needs in our community. Many of the groups were formed as a direct result of needs identified through Community Health Needs Assessments that have occurred almost every three years in our county since 1996.

These groups work in key areas such as access, AIDS, children’s health and safety, behavioral health, domestic violence, health literacy, housing, Latino services, oral health, physical fitness, and tobacco prevention.

Other established groups have chosen to affiliate with our organization after operating on their own. These groups include Adams County Food Policy Council, Adams Coalition to Prevent Teen Pregnancy, Breastfeeding Task Force, Adams County Breast Cancer Coalition and Faith in Action.

All told, more than 600 people serve on these various task forces and help make the vision of Healthy Adams County a reality.
