Description:

Planning ahead can make difficult decisions easier for you and your loved ones. Join the End-of-Life Committee, an affiliate of Healthy Adams County, for Planning with Purpose and Care—a day of resources, guidance and support for every step of the journey.

Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about:

Creating Advanced Directives and Living Wills
Pre-planning Funeral and Burial Arrangements
Medicare
Estate and Financial Planning
Home Care and Nursing Options
Hospice and Palliative Care
Grief Support for Families
Non-Medical and Community Resources

The day includes a light lunch and door prizes, along with presentations from 10:00 AM through 1:45 PM.

Adams County Food Policy Council Food Forum

Join the Adams County Food Policy Council for an evening of conversation, connection, and community!

The Food Forum is a thoughtful community event designed to spark dialogue around current food policy issues and the ways food policy impacts our communities.

Whether you work in food, agriculture, health, education, nonprofit services, or simply care about where our food comes from and how our food system works, your voice belongs at the table.

This evening will provide an opportunity to learn, listen, share perspectives, and connect with others who are interested in creating a stronger, more accessible, and sustainable local food system.

Come ready for meaningful conversation and new ideas—and maybe leave with a few new connections, too.

Kindness Campaign and FREE Movie Screening

Description:

Healthy Adams County is partnering with the Center for Youth and Community Development to present a free screening of the film “For Such a Time as This” on September 26^th at the Majestic Theater at 6:30 p.m. Click HERE to view the flyer for the event. Though the event is free you will need to reserve tickets to see the film. You can use the QR code on the flyer or click HERE. The Writer and Director of the film will present to answer questions after the film, and we will kick off a Kindness Campaign that will highlight other events in the coming months.
